YOUTUBE of the MONTH
Like most music fans, my inbox often contains emails to YouTube links,
so I thought it would be good to highlight the best of them.
Fellow Rush fans, check this out: the band’s second ever gig – eight tracks filmed in 1974.

I never tire of hearing this most gorgeous of songs - 'Reeling In The Years' by Steely Dan. It contains Jimmy Page's all-time favourite guitar solo, fact fans: short but perfectly formed!
One for fellow fans of the band Stray. A very clever mash-up of footage from the band's 50th anniversary gig at the Borderline and earlier, more hirsute times. Spotted on the Facebook wall of their current drummer, Karl Randall. Enjoy!
The sad news that Saga are to call it a day in this their 40th year of existence prompted me to dig out this vintage clip from the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund from Michael Sadler's moustachioed years!
May I present Europe's version of the UFO classic 'Love To Love', performed in unplugged and symphonic fashion. I found this gem on the Facebook wall of Europe's current manager Adam Parsons.
This is very special… a high quality, full-length show from Anderson Rabin & Wakeman in New York. Pull up a chair, switch off that phone for a couple of hours and… enjoy!
This has got to be one of the best YouTubes ever. Yes performing 'Roundabout' with special guest Geddy Lee on bass at their recent induction to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Joyous stuff!
AC/DC with Bon Scott at the Oakland Coliseum Stadium in 1979. Spotted on the Facebook wall of my old pal Paul Elliott. Thanks a lot, Gooner.
Back after 25 years (with Bryan Cole on vox), it's the mighty Giant! Proving that class never fades! More please, fellas!!!!
I’m still not entirely sure about Steven Wilson’s newie ‘To The Bone’, but this live one-man performance of four of its selections (‘Refuge’, the controversial one – ‘Permanating’, ‘Pariah’ and ‘People Who Eat Darkness’) is pretty interesting!
